Frequently Asked Questions

In an effort to give you the best possible experience in hiring a magician whether it be
me or someone else. I have put together this f.a.q to answer some of the more common
questions I receive on a regular basis. Please use these answers as a guideline in
choosing the entertainment that is best for you and your guests.

1. How much do you charge?
Between the different types of shows I offer, any travel fees that may be associated with
the performance and any of the extras and add-ons I offer, the rates from show to show
vary greatly. For an immediate answer it is best to just contact me directly, I can give
you what i feel are the best options for your event and budget and we can go from
there. An easy guideline for determining what level of performer you want compared
with what they charge is the following rough estimate of fees for magicians in the
New York City / tri-state area:

Amateurs and Hobbyists: $50-$200 per performance
Professional magicians: $250-$500 per performance
Headliners:$500 +  

I'm not a big headliner (yet), so my price range falls under the professional level. once
again, I'd be happy to discuss all my rates over the phone.

2. I have guests at my event that do not speak English, will they be able to
understand the show?
Yes! In many cases magic can be lost on someone who doesn't speak the same
language as the performer. Fortunately, I have a very visual style in performing and the
outcome of all of my effects are just as entertaining to those who don't speak the
language. Whether you understand what I say before I light my wallet on fire or not,
you'll see the wallet ignite into flames mysteriously and be just as entertained. I am
however, also fluent in Spanish and can adapt my show for a Spanish speaking
audience.

3. Do you have references
Yes, all references are available upon request

4. I have many guests attending my next event, will they be able to hear you?
Yes, If the occasion calls for it I do have my own portable sound system which can be
heard by over 500 guests

5. How long is your performance?
Generally performances run approximately 40 minutes but all shows can be adjusted to
fit your event. A stand up/stage type show can go anywhere between 10 minutes to an
hour, while strolling magic can go for many hours. I'm here to serve your needs for as
long as you believe my services are required.

6. I have to make a last minute booking, are you available?
To insure that a date is available it is usually best to book your show with at least one
months notice and even more for the busy October and December months. However,
I've received many weekend and even day-before calls which I have been able to
perform for. If you need to make a last minute booking, it is recommended that you call
rather than email, for a quick reply as to availability.

7. Is there anywhere we can watch you perform before we book you for our
event?
While most of my performances are for private events, I do perform publicly on several
occasions throughout the year. Check out our

8. What kind of magic do you perform?
I perform comedy magic. I like to get on stage, joke around and have a good time with
my audience. My shows are all very interactive and very theatrical. It is important to
know is that I'm not your standard top hat and tux magician. I won't bore an audience
with fifty card tricks and one other trick. For me, entertainment and fun are the name of
the game. I show up to every performance with the intention of making everyone in the
audience smile, at least once.

9. How long have you been performing magic?
Over fourteen years

10. Is there anything else I should know?
Hiring a magician should be a very special happening for you and your guests. Many
people have seen magic on television but not live. Make sure that you like the person
you're dealing with, that you feel you're being treated fairly and that you don't hire a
part-timer but a full time professional, who will act and perform as such. This will assure
you a fantastic evening of entertainment for whatever event you may be planning.
